You are cordially welcome to our annual winter gathering, SwedenBIO Summit, which takes place at Grand Hôtel in Stockholm on 21 January 2026.

The SwedenBIO Summit is a member-exclusive event wrapping up the year gone by and kicking off the new one in a festive yet informal setting. Known for its friendly atmosphere, the Summit is where companies share their business stories to inspire and connect with others across the SwedenBIO community.

This year, the program is inspired by exactly that — a “dare to share” mindset. We come together to exchange experiences that, while sometimes challenging, ultimately led to new achievements or valuable insights. The 2025 Summit highlights the importance of learning from one another to drive progress across our entire industry. The SwedenBIO Summit also includes a launch of the most up-to-date statistics of the industry in the form of the Life Science Barometer 2026 report. We wrap up the afternoon by presenting the winner of the SwedenBIO Award 2025!

Time: 13.00-16.30 on 21 January 2026, followed by drinks and canapés
Place: Grand Hôtel, Södra Blasieholmshamnen 8, Stockholm

How to Build and Scale in Sweden?

As Sweden positions itself for long-term strength in life science, important questions arise: How do we build and scale companies here at home, what challenges are we facing, and what unique advantages does Sweden offer?

This session examines the structural strengths behind Sweden’s life science ecosystem — from world-class research environments to advanced manufacturing capabilities and a highly skilled workforce. Together, we explore what enables companies to grow from idea to global impact, and which strategic choices will matter most.

From Biotech Winter to the Next Growth Wave

After several years marked by tight capital, valuation pressure, and hesitant public markets, the global sector continues to grapple with the effects of the “biotech winter.” As we look forward in 2026, a key question emerges: How can Swedish companies navigate the tail end of the biotech winter — and build companies capable of thriving toward 2030?

This panel brings together investors and leading Swedish innovators in to unpack the signals, surprises, and strategic lessons from JPM 2026. What themes dominated investor conversations? Which types of companies attracted attention — and which struggled? Are we seeing early signs of recovery, or simply a new phase of the downturn?
